The Lodge Event Hub organises trips for residents on a monthly basis. August saw fourteen Cairns Student Lodge Residents enjoying a great trip to Davies Creek National Park.
The trip departed from Cairns Student Lodge after breakfast on Saturday 26 August 2017 and everyone was back before dinner and even had time for a quick shower and change too.
Davies Creek Waterfall is located in Far North Queensland, 1,392 km northwest of Brisbane and just a short 20 km south west of Cairns.
The national park is on the Atherton Tableland within the Barron River water catchment. The bush walking track was not too difficult for hikers and the weather was clear and warm too.
Thanks to Hamish Allardice for driving the Cairns Student Lodge bus. And to the Cairns Student Lodge Kitchen for the free supply of wraps, sandwiches and drinks.
