Graduate Doctor Guests

airns Australian General Practice Training ProgramCairns Student Lodge is pleased to host two graduate doctors who are participating in training in the Far North this week. They are training to be specialist general practitioners through the Australian General Practice Training Program.

Medical graduates typically undertake four years of postgraduate training to be registered as a specialist GP, with either a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
